Life in the trenches

Life in the trenches is about the mixture of forces in ones life. In my case it's family, work, and RPGs.

Space..

Well here is an interesting little tidbit.. I got an email this morning from someone complaining about a content editor generating an error when attempting to save some edits.  Well I start poking around with the site and sure enough I get the same type of error as the user.. I guess it’s not security which would have been fine anyway since it wasn’t changed in the first place.  So I try to modify pages going up the navigational tree.

I see the same problem all the way up the tree; I can’t do any modifications to the site on any page.  I thought ok, let’s see if I can update a page with FrontPage.. I’ll just change the home page since I know it’s already been modified this way before.  All the content is there.. That’s good but I see the same troubles.  I can’t modify anything but.. FrontPage pops up a dialog box telling me that the web server is out of disk space.

Ok, that’s just odd 99.9% of the content on here is in the database.  After logging into the system I find that there is an ISO hanging around and the content of two installation CDs in one of the admin’s profiles.  Nuke time.. iisreset.. life is good once again.
